BEMAC Electric Transportation Philippines, Inc. recently inaugurated its assembly plant in Carmona Cavite.
Attended by its President Masato Oda and the directors of BEMAC- Uzushio Electric of Japan and witnessed by Philippine government officials from The Department of Trade and Industry Prudencio Reyes Jr., LTO Executive Director Mr. Giovanni Gonzales, BOI Director Corazon Dichosa and Carmona Mayor Dahlia Loyola.

The plant is located inside Golden Mile Business Park an industrial zone in Carmona, can presently produce 500 units per month and is set up for expansion to 1,000 units per month depending on the demand of the market. The plant total land area is currently at 13,500 sqm.

In Mr. Oda’s speech he thanked the local manufacturing partners and suppliers specially Almazora Motors Corporation (AMC) for being with Bemac through the past 2 years of constant innovation, testing and engineering to make sure that the product they are creating are geared for Philippine road conditions.
“We began research into the management technology of Lithium Ion Batteries. This further advanced us into the development of the electric taxi, our 3 wheeled EV. In the 2 years since its initial development, we have undergone countless cycles of design improvements, prototype remodels, functional testing and evaluations. Motivated by the welfare and happiness of the people in the Philippines, we set a higher standard for the EVs as compared to other brands in the market and have strived to ensure the highest safety and quality specifications for our electric vehicle.”

BEMAC received from Bureau of Investment (BOI) its certification for Investment Priority Plan (IPP) as pioneering in EV and its certification from Land Transportation Office (LTO) paving the way for worry free registration of its produced vehicles.
“We don’t do shortcuts. We only want a quality product that can still be used after 10 years on the road. We know that the bottom line is to help in the livelihood of our public transport drivers and operators and that goal is what we are pursuing every step of the way.” BEMAC Phils.
