There are several places in Angeles City where you can get your fill of good desserts. To cut the list short, here are some names who gave a unique and enticing twist to the usual dessert fare we’ve known.
decadent Queso de Bola Cheesecake
Teaspoon Desserts
Famous for its Queso de Bola Cheesecake, Teaspoon Desserts doesn’t fall short when it comes to offering one-of-a-kind homemade goodies. At first glance, you might get the impression of having to eat an ordinary pastry. There was nothing ‘extra’ special with how their desserts were crafted – no fancy frills and all. But one bite and it’s a totally different story.
Cashew Petite Fortunes
look at that piece of beauty
I forgot the name of this treat, but mind you, it’s just as delish
There’s this delightfully sweet taste in each dessert i tried. The Queso de Bola Cheesecake has the right balance of sweetness and saltiness so as not to overpower the other, while the Cashew Petit Fortunes has this addicting flavor that left me craving for more. You have to try it for yourself so you’ll know what I’m talking about.
this. is. pure. awesomeness.

Susie’s Cuisine
When it comes to Kapampangan kakanin, Susie’s Cuisine comes first in mind. In fact, it bagged the title ‘Kakanin Queen’ after winning a kakanin-making contest hosted by a magazine show from a local TV network. That being said, I was already interested to try their kakanin even if I’m not a fan of this delicacy.
a variety of colors, textures and tastes
A bilao of various kakanin was served on the table and the first thought that came to my mind was, ‘Which do I try first?’ The colors were enticing and so was the smell. One of their bestsellers is Tibok-tibok, which is similar to Maja Blanca but made from carabao milk. There’s also the Tibok Mais, Rice Cake, Bico Kalabasa, Duman, Kalamay Ube, Sapin-sapin, Ube Lakatan and more. I have to say, Susie’s Cuisine, indeed, serves some delish kakanin.
Susie’s Cuisine is also famous for their Pancit Luglug

Pititian by Juan Sebastien Catering
What exactly is a Pititian, you ask? Well, it’s the Kapampangan version of chicharon, only smaller in size and is best paired with green papaya relish or atsara instead of the usual vinegar. That unassuming pack of Pititian I got from Juan Sebastien Catering got me all curious on how it tastes and if it can compare to the addicting Carabao chicharon I had in Tuguegarao.
don’t forget to share your pack of Pititian with a friend
My questions were answered with a yummy ‘yes’ after I popped one piece in my mouth. Each bite was crispy and flavorful, definitely not the airy taste you get from some chicharon. I try to control myself whenever I eat chicharon but this was an exemption. Juan Sebastien’s Pititian is hard to resist.

Ciocollo
‘A secret hideaway, far from the maddening crowd… A place to go loco at Ciocollo.’ This tagline perfectly encapsulates Ciocollo’s very essence. The dainty cafe-slash-resto is located off the usual route, right in the middle of a field, lit up by warm lights. It was a great night to have some real decadent cakes.
how about getting your dose of cake while lounging in this area?
Nine slices of cakes were laid out on the table. Nine. Each slice was looking sweet and enticing, as if inviting me to try it first. I dig my fork into one cake after the other, careful not to drown the previous taste so I can distinguish the cakes that will go to my fave list. It was hard to choose which is the yummiest, as each cake was luscious and decadent on its own. The cake flavors were distinct and rich with just the right amount of sweetness.
my cream of the crop
I specially loved the Pistachio Sansrival, Brazo de Mercedez Cheesecake, Midnight Chocolate Cake and Creme Brulee Cheesecake. The remaining cakes were pretty close runner ups – the Turtle Pie Caramel Cheesecake, Truffle Chocolate Cake, Ferrero Cakes (chocolate and green tea) and the Red Velvet Cheesecake. It was truly a sweet treat to get a taste of Ciocollo’s cakes.
these cakes are just as yum
