Big Move For AirAsia as Their International Flights Will Be Moved To the Terminal 2 of Mactan Cebu International Airport Beginning July 1

(Cebu City, Philippines) Just In! AirAsia is set to transfer their international flights to the newly opened Terminal 2 of Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA) starting July 1, 2018, Sunday.

The CEO of AirAsia, Captain Dexter Comendador stated that they’re excited to relocate their flights to the new terminal as this will pave way for a more fun and better travel experience for their beloved customers. They are looking at the “long-term growth and expansion” of the airport which will benefit many in the future.

International guests who will fly with AirAsia beginning July 1 will be advised that their flights will go through Terminal 2. The airline company holds several international flights in Cebu to and from Hangzhou, Incheon, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai, Shenzen, Singapore, and Taipei. Their Cebu to Shanghai route will start on July 7, Saturday.

They are advising guests to go to the new terminal 3 hours before departure time and to self-check-in through their website or their mobile app. There are kiosks too inside the airport which can assist them before they go to the baggage drop counters.

AirAsia is also introducing new flight options to Cebu from Visayas and Mindanao and vice vera. It benefits travelers as they have an added option now which can make flying more affordable. AirAsia is popular for their affordable flights so customers can be sure they are getting the best deals. According to Captain Comendador, these two island parts of the country are underserved with limited options but with AirAsia’s big move, this will definitely change for the better.

The resort-themed airport made from indigenous materials but with modern facilities have 48 check-in counters. It is expandable to 72 for departures. It’s also complete with a hotel, retail shops, a casino and more.

This makes the flying experience to Cebu all the more worthwhile.
