AIA Philippines Launches Advantage Max With Global Investment Options and Life Insurance Protection

AIA Philippines Expands Investment-Linked Insurance Options With Advantage Max

AIA Philippines has introduced Advantage Max, a single-premium, investment-linked insurance product that offers access to global funds, potential quarterly payouts, and life insurance coverage.

AIA Philippines Launches Advantage Max

Formerly known as Philam Life, AIA Philippines announced the launch of AIA Advantage Max on October 19, 2026. Available in Philippine peso and US dollar denominations, the product is designed for individuals seeking global market investment opportunities while maintaining life insurance protection.

Advantage Max offers two investment options: the Global Dynamic Income Paying Fund (GDIF) and the Global Adventurous Income Fund (GAIF). Both offer potential income distributions, allowing policyholders to explore opportunities for wealth accumulation and income generation through professionally managed global investments.

Two Global Funds Offer Potential Quarterly Payouts

A key feature of AIA Advantage Max is access to global investment-linked funds that aim to provide income opportunities alongside long-term growth potential.

The Global Dynamic Income Paying Fund has a historical annualized payout rate of more than 6%, while the Global Adventurous Income Fund targets an annualized payout rate of 7%. These figures are not guaranteed returns. Actual distributions depend on fund performance and applicable policy terms.

The funds provide exposure to diversified global investments, giving policyholders an opportunity to participate in international markets. Potential quarterly distributions may also help support financial priorities, depending on individual circumstances and investment performance.

However, prospective policyholders should understand that investment-linked insurance products carry market risks. Account values, returns, and distributions may fluctuate, and fund payouts are not guaranteed.

Available in Philippine Peso and US Dollar

Customers can choose between AIA Peso Advantage Max and AIA Dollar Advantage Max, depending on their preferred currency for the single-premium payment.

This flexibility lets individuals consider their financial goals, currency preferences, and broader wealth-management strategies when choosing a policy. The suitability of either option will depend on the customer’s financial circumstances, risk tolerance, and understanding of potential currency-related risks.

Start-Up and Loyalty Bonuses

Advantage Max includes incentives designed to reward policyholders over time.

The product offers a start-up bonus of up to 5% of the single premium, distributed over the first five policy years. Beginning in the 10th policy year, eligible policyholders can also receive a loyalty bonus equivalent to 2% of the average monthly account value over the preceding 60 months. This loyalty bonus is available every five years thereafter, subject to the policy’s terms and conditions.

These bonuses may increase the policy’s account value, but customers should review the applicable conditions, charges, and other product provisions before deciding whether to invest.

Life Insurance Protection Until Age 100

Beyond investment opportunities, AIA Advantage Max provides life insurance coverage until age 100.

The death benefit is the higher of 125% of the single premium or 105% of the account value, including the credited start-up bonus, subject to the policy’s terms and conditions.

The product also offers guaranteed issuance without requiring medical examinations. This feature may simplify the application process for eligible customers, but prospective policyholders should confirm eligibility requirements and policy provisions with an AIA Life Planner.

By combining investment-linked funds with life insurance coverage, the product aims to address two financial priorities: building wealth and providing financial protection for beneficiaries.

What Customers Should Consider Before Investing

AIA Advantage Max may appeal to individuals who want to explore global investment opportunities through an insurance-linked product. However, understanding the risks and costs is essential before committing a lump-sum payment.

Potential customers should consider the following factors:

  • Investment risk: Fund values and distributions can fluctuate according to market conditions. Neither the targeted payout rate nor historical payout figures represent guaranteed returns.
  • Policy charges: Review applicable insurance costs, fund management fees, and other charges that may affect account value and overall investment performance.
  • Currency exposure: Consider how choosing a peso- or dollar-denominated policy may affect financial planning, particularly when future expenses are in a different currency.
  • Investment horizon: Evaluate whether the product’s structure and policy conditions align with short-term cash requirements and long-term financial objectives.
  • Life insurance needs: Understand the death benefit, coverage conditions, and how the policy’s protection component fits into an existing financial plan.

AIA Philippines encourages prospective customers to consult an AIA Life Planner to understand the product’s features, risks, charges, and conditions, and to determine whether it suits their financial goals and risk profile.

AIA Philippines Expands Its Wealth-Building Solutions

The launch of Advantage Max adds another option for individuals seeking to combine life insurance protection with access to global investment markets. Its potential quarterly payouts, peso and dollar denominations, and long-term bonus features offer several factors for customers to consider in their financial planning.

As with other investment-linked insurance products, weigh the potential benefits against market exposure, policy costs, and the lack of guaranteed investment income.

For individuals considering this type of financial solution, understanding the product’s terms and carefully assessing personal financial needs remain important steps toward an informed decision.

AIA Philippines says the offering supports its broader commitment to helping people live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.
