Pet Express’ Dog and Cat Expo 2015
Pet lovers were united once again this year at the Pet Express Dog and Cat Expo. The event was held at the SMX Convention Centre in Pasay City on August 1 to 2, 2015. As expected, pet care brands and pet associations were gathered at this annual event, including the very popular Facebook page Cats of Manila.
Hall 4 of the SMX Convention Centre was immensely packed with participants with their pets. Seminars on pet care were also held. Personally, and I think everyone will agree, the main attraction of this event are the pets themselves! On the day I visited, dogs obviously outnumbered cats, but still they are both stars of the event of the weekend.

We’ve captured some pictures of cute, adorable cats and dogs around the event hall. Most of them are resting after a day’s roaming. Some were posing gamely for photographs. And others were pretty much relaxed. All photos were taken by Ric Caliolio Jr.

Pet accessories and pet food were on sale at the event so guests who are in need of pet supplies won’t leave empty-handed. Participants include Purina, which brought a handful of cats with them for everyone to pet, Cat House Cat Cafe, which also brought cats for petting and gives cupcakes to fans, various independent sellers of pet carriers, pet strollers, and assorted pet care. Many pet associations catering to specific breeds were also present at the event, on hand with their members.
Cats For adoption
Another highlight from the event is that CARA (Compassion and Responsibility for Animals) Philippines put up a booth for animal lovers to go to pledge donations or to adopt animals under their care. Popular Facebook page Cats of Manila was also at the event, putting up three kittens for adoption. The kittens were sheltered by kind people immediately within the day!

Events like PetExpress Dog and Cat Expo 2015 are truly days for human-pet bonding, and for fun for the animal lovers and animal-loving families alike.
