San Lazaro Leisure and Business Park in Carmona Cavite
Many Filipinos born in the 50s till the late 70s who eventually left and lived in another country will be surprised to know that the old San Lazaro Hippodrome was now occupied by a residential condominium and a Mall.
The Famous San Lazaro race track was initially built on a 16-hectare property at Sta. Cruz, Manila. Later in 2003, the San Lazaro racing track was constructed in Carmona Cavite with world-class facilities. It was opened by Manila Jockey Club (MJC), one of the oldest racing clubs in Asia.
The Grandeur of San Lazaro Leisure and Business Park
The park, acknowledged as the first truly-developed world-class race track in the Philippines, is situated in a 77-acre plot. Upon entering San Lazaro Leisure and Business Park, one can experience being in the new “Mecca” of local racing.
The leisure park is located on a sprawling terrain shaped beautifully like a horse’s head. It has two-all weather race tracks and a state-of-art turf club. The provisions for stabling the horses are worth mentioning. The park houses facilities to stable 960 horses at a time. The provisions for equestrian centers and residential subdivisions for direct industry players are also found in San Lazaro Leisure Park.
Any San Lazaro Leisure and Business Park visitor would find a steady stream of racehorses on the SSLP stables ready for racing programs. The racing facilities of the club are adequate and good enough to entertain anyone entering the park.
Live Horse Racing
There are live horse racing events, and visiting San Lazaro Leisure and Business Park will allow you to enjoy watching the actual horse racing while betting on your favorite horse. Manila Jockey Club manages San Lazaro Leisure Park’s Live Horse Racing events.

During special events, Manila Jockey Club also hosts betting lectures for beginners who want to get the feel of horse racing and experience live betting.

To get to San Lazaro Leisure and Business Park in Carmona, Cavite, you can follow these directions:
By Private Vehicle:
1. Take the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) heading south.
2. After passing through the toll gates, continue driving towards Carmona Exit.
3. Take the Carmona Exit and veer right onto Governor’s Drive.
4. Drive straight along Governor’s Drive until you reach San Lazaro Leisure Park on the right side.
By Public Transportation:
1. you can take a bus bound for Carmona or GMA Cavite from Manila.
2. Inform the driver or conductor that you want to be dropped off at San Lazaro Leisure and Business Park.
3. Alight at the designated drop-off point, and you will see the entrance to the park.
Note: It is recommended to check the specific schedule and routes of the buses going to Carmona to ensure a smooth journey.
