Party Island: Singapore’s ZoukOut is Going to Boracay
ZoukOut is an outdoor music and dance festival held every December at Siloso Beach, Sentosa Island, Singapore. The party is run by Club Zouk, one of the oldest and most popular clubs in Singapore. It’s usually graced by top DJs and celebrities with roaring music in the genres of house, hip-hop, trance, and electro-techno. And like any raging party, it’s overflowing with good food and booze to keep everyone at their liveliest.

This year, Club Zouk is going global, with strong focus on expanding to the beach party scenes in the Philippines, Hong Kong and Japan. They plan on promoting brand awareness to ZoukOut Singapore, which they are planning to re-launch with innovations in December 2016.
The first leg of the regional tour will be the famous beaches of Boracay, Philippines! It’s a great fit to the 15 year tradition of ZoukOut, with its beautiful scenery, happening food and club scene, and accessibility to both local and international travelers. The Philippines tourism scene is also getting stronger allowing for this partnership in the Southeast Asian region.
ZoukOut Boracay will be setup at Epic and Uptown beachfront in Station 2. It is set to run for two days (April 29 and May 1), which coincides with the influx of tourists Labor Day holiday, locally termed “LaBoracay”. The event is expected to add over 5,000 participants flying in from all over the world to join the big dance party.
The summer Boracay scene is already pretty full of music and parties, as inflow of local and international tourists commonly peak during April and May to beat the summer heat. There is an abundance of shops, restaurants, clubs, lounges, bars, and parties spread over the five kilometer beachfront.
The beaches are pristine, and sunsets and sunrises are breathtaking. There are also many available water sports, land, and air activities to keep anyone busy in the day after partying – from simpler banana boats, kayaks, and helmet diving, to more thrilling snorkeling, scuba diving, and parasailing. ATV rides can give you a better mountain view, while helicopter rides over the island can show you everything the beach can offer. Ziplines have also been created to give you a thrilling view of the scenery. Tourists also often enjoy the island hopping tour to Carabao Island, Puka Beach and Ariel’s Point.

ZoukOut Boracay will reportedly have 11 acts in the line-up, from usual features of ZoukOut such as Kaskade, DJ Royale & Junior, DJ Vice, and Dubvision, and local talents like MMXJ and DJ Ghetto. Tickets for the event have already been on sale through online and local ticketing sites. VIP tables start from $2,000, while pre-selling 1 and 2 day passes are going for PHP2,000 ($74) and PHP3,600 ($134) respectively.
