Singapore Airlines Expands Europe Network With New Madrid Flights
MANILA, Philippines — Filipino travelers heading to Europe will soon have more flight options as Singapore Airlines (SIA) expands its European network with additional frequencies to several major cities and introduces a new route to Madrid, Spain.

Singapore Airlines Expands Europe Network, Adds New Madrid Service
The network expansion comes as demand for European travel continues to grow, giving passengers more opportunities to connect to popular destinations through Singapore.
More Flights to Popular European Cities
Singapore Airlines will progressively increase services to several European destinations, including Manchester, London Gatwick, Milan, and Munich.
Manchester: Services will increase from five flights per week to daily operations, providing travelers with greater flexibility when planning trips to northern England.
London Gatwick: During the Northern Winter 2026 operating season, SIA will increase its second London Gatwick service to daily operations. This will complement the airline’s existing daily SQ312 and SQ309 services to London Gatwick, as well as four daily flights to London Heathrow. Altogether, SIA will offer up to six flights per day between Singapore and London.
Milan: Flights to Milan will increase from four times weekly to daily starting October 25, 2026, offering more opportunities for travelers exploring Italy and other parts of Europe.
Munich: A new three-times-weekly service will begin on October 26, 2026, bringing SIA’s total services to Munich to 10 flights per week.

Madrid Joins Singapore Airlines’ European Network
One of the highlights of the expansion is the launch of SIA’s new Singapore–Barcelona–Madrid service.
Beginning October 26, 2026, the airline will operate five flights per week between Singapore and Madrid via Barcelona. The new route will make Madrid SIA’s 15th European destination and its second destination in Spain.
The service will operate on an Airbus A350-900 long-haul aircraft with 253 seats.
For Filipino travelers, the new Madrid service opens another convenient gateway to Spain and beyond. Madrid is renowned for its world-class museums, historic landmarks, vibrant neighborhoods, and culinary scene. The Spanish capital is also an important business and financial center connecting Europe and Latin America.
Greater Connectivity for Filipino Travelers
Liwei Tai, General Manager Philippines of Singapore Airlines, said the expanded European network reflects the airline’s commitment to providing Filipino travelers with more choices and connectivity through its Singapore hub.
“Europe continues to be a popular destination for Filipino travelers, and these network enhancements reflect SIA’s commitment to meeting that demand with greater choice and connectivity,” Tai said.
She added that the addition of Madrid, together with increased frequencies to Manchester, London Gatwick, Milan, and Munich, will give Filipino passengers more convenient ways to reach destinations across Europe.
The expansion also comes as Singapore Airlines celebrates 60 years of service in the Philippines, highlighting the airline’s long-standing presence in the Philippine market.
What Travelers Need to Know
Tickets for the new Madrid service and the additional European flights are now available through Singapore Airlines’ distribution channels, with the new and expanded services being released progressively.
Travelers can check updated flight schedules, route information, and booking availability through Singapore Airlines’ official channels or through SIA-accredited travel agencies.
For Filipino travelers planning a European getaway, the expanded network offers more flexibility for building multi-city itineraries, whether the trip focuses on Spain, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, or a combination of destinations.
