Nemi Miranda’s art masterpieces at Conrad Manila
Conrad Manila, in partnership with the Department of Tourism Region IV-A CALABARZON, launched the 8th installment of “Of Art and Wine” exhibit featuring ‘Nemi Miranda: Visual Diary in Pure Imagination.’ The event was held last April 10 at the hotel’s Gallery C.
Known as NEMIRANDA, the Philippines’ Father of Imaginative Figurism told us that some of his masterpieces in the said exhibition as his product of longtime painting career, 50 years of his visual journey and a diary of his experience as an artist. He tackles on life of the Filipinos. He’s been passionate to paint people, especially the historical events that captured his imagination such as the recent war in Mindanao which it is included in the Marawi Homecoming series.
During his career as an artist, he managed to launch over 80 exhibitions in various parts of the world. Hailed from Angono, Rizal, Miranda was commissioned to do sculptural monuments, and mural paintings in almost on four corners of the country: Rizal province, Bataan, Oriental Mindoro, Tacloban, Iloilo, and Zamboanga among others. His paintings hang in the most prestigious homes and offices here and abroad.
With a lot of accomplishments he has achieved for his personal artistic career and his contribution in making Angono and the whole province of Rizal as ‘Art Capital of the Philippines’ through his continued cultural work and art tourism program as the Living Legend of Angono.
