The move comes as the country braces for the upcoming ASEAN integration, which will see the implementation of the ASEAN competency Standards for tourism among Southeast Asian countries.

At a press briefing in Albay, Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA) President Cesar Cruz announced PHILTOA that they have already finalized all these tour offerings for the 24th Philippine Travel Mart.
“Just like the province of Albay, our country is filled with all kinds of unique experiences that can be developed into world-class tour products,” says PHILTOA President Cesar Cruz, referring to PHILTOA’s venue for officially announcing the first-ever Philippine Tourism Week. “And just like the local government of Albay, PHILTOA is pulling out all stops to ensure that the Philippine private sector is regionally above par when it comes to tourism.”
The 24th Philippine Travel Mart 2013 will showcase over 350 exhibitors with their tour products presented through colorful pavilions and booths.
