Death by Chocolate – Freshly baked deep dark chocolate lava cake topped with chocolate truffle Magnum with brownie pieces and chocolate crispearls.
Cooke Dough Skillet – Warm chocolate chip cookie dough topped with two Vanilla Magnum Bars, dark chocolate and chopped pecans.
Pink Friday – Strawberry Marbled cheesecake on a bed of speculoos tea cookies and strawberry nerds topped with a pink chocolate dusted vanilla Magnum and strawberry coulis.
After its success in Amserdam, Cannes, Hamburg, Istanbul, London, Milan, New York, Paris, Jakarta, Helsinki, Sao Paolo, Shanghai, Sydney and Toronto, Magnum Cafe finally invades Manila. I had a chance yesterday to taste their offerings and I was completely satisfied with everything they served.

You’ve probably tried their ice creams as single serving popsicles on a stick. Magnum became viral when it was re-introduced in the Philippine Market two years ago, so by now you’ve at least seen the name around. Magnum is good, I mean really really good. It’s a top Ice cream brand in Europe and they’re going the distance here in Manila with their Magnum Cafe at the Sky Park of SM Aura Premier in Taguig.

Magnum is openly admitting that they don’t expect to make much of a profit. This isn’t the first time they’ve opened a cafe in order to bring the idea of Magnum to a market. Yes, the Magnum Manila Cafe is here just for your enjoyment. The Magnum Cafe in Manila will open on April 8 and they want you to experience their ice creams in the most pleasurable way possible. Oh dear, they don’t have waiters or baristas…. they have what they call “Pleasure Makers”.

The Magnum Manila Cafe will only be open for one year.
I’m expecting this place to be packed most of that year. Why? Because we all like that feeling of being a kid and going to the ice cream shop, but as an adult it mostly sounds like a good idea. But at the Magnum Manila Cafe, it’s more of a fancy bar experience, except instead of cocktails, you’re having the luxury of a truly delicious ice cream….. in every possible way! Seriously!

How to make your Magnum Ice Cream
- Choose your Magnum – Choose between Vanilla or Chocolate Magnum Ice Cream
- Coat It – Coat it with either white chocolate, dark chocolate and milk chocolate
- Top It – choose at least three toppings (you may also make your own Magnum with over 250 thousand possible combinations.
- Drizzle It – Drizzle it with either white chocolate, dark chocolate and milk chocolate
- Set It – wait for few seconds to set
- Share It – Instagram It
- Enjoy It – Experience the Pleasure!

For my own Magnum, I selected Vanilla Ice Cream coated with white chocolate and for the toppings, I selected chili flakes, quezo de bola shavings and double speculoos cookies and drizzled with milk chocolate. I love it!

Well, ice cream and other things. You can go for a full lunch and get salmon with mashed potatoes or pasta carbonara. There’s a mushroom burger and a karaage sandwich too. Don’t miss the Cajun Spiced Chicken Poppers for a real treat. The food is meant to be straight forward and easy to enjoy. The desserts, on the other hand, are meant to be full of pleasure. And… they are.
