Are you ready for Pahiyas Festival 2013? Thousands of local and foreign tourists are expected to visit the historic town of Lucban Quezon to witness the colorful decorated houses in this year’s Lucban San Isidro Pahiyas Festival.

To celebrate thanksgiving and bountiful harvest, Lucban is celebrating the famous Pahiyas Festival every 15 of May. The colorful festival has attracted tourist from both local and foreign shores thats why this festival is considered as one of the most famous festival during the month of May.
This year’s theme is “Yanung Rikit, Baling Ganda,” and as part of the festivities, the festival committee includes activities like Lucban Waterworld Festival 2013 which was held at the poblacion last March 31, 2013.
Other activities are ‘Pagdisenyo ng Arangyang Kiping’ ; opening of Tiangge sa Lucban ; inauguration of municipal slaughterhouse and hatchery ; Lucban Langgonisa Festival 2013 ; championship-9th mayor’s cup- basketball tournament (junior division) ‘juego de anillo’ ; ‘Takbo sa Pahiyas’; ‘Lalahan ng Buntal Festival and ‘Higantes ng Lucban’.
Activities for the actual festival date on May 15 include thanksgiving mass, procession and grand parade to be participated/ highlighted by PNP scort, marching band, local officials, senior citizens, ‘Parikitan’, ‘Pansit Habhab Fiesta-val, ‘Bigas Gayak’, sponsors motorcade and ‘Higantes ng Lucban’ which will be held along pahiyas route.
The awarding of Pahiyas House Design contest winners will be at Rizal park on May 16, 2013.
