Let’s #GOLokal This 2021! Sail To Top Summer Destinations Boracay, Coron, Cebu Starting At ?799 ALL-IN!

PASAY CITY – Start the year right and sail with 2GO Travel! The Philippines’ largest premier sea travel provider is #READY2GO to take you on a summer escapade to Boracay, Palawan, and Cebu, and other domestic destinations for as low as ?799 one-way, inclusive of accommodations, 50 kg baggage allowance, meals, and insurance.

“Domestic travel is slowly picking up as more destinations are opening their borders. Sail from Batangas to Caticlan and Roxas for only ?799, while routes from Manila to Bacolod, Cebu, Coron, Dumaguete, Iloilo, and Puerto Princesa are priced at ?899. Meanwhile, trips from Manila to Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Iligan, Ozamis, and Zamboanga are fixed at ?1,199. Fare is exclusive of the service fee. The ticket is non-refundable, but rebookable, subject to fare difference and applicable fees. The sale starts today and ends on January 10 for sailing from February 1 to June 30.

#SafeTravels protocols are implemented from check-in, boarding, and disembarkation. General cleaning, disinfection, and sanitation are done religiously, especially on high-touch surfaces on all 2GO Travel vessels. Temperature checks and footbaths are conducted prior to onboarding. All passengers are required to download the Department of Transportation’s Traze application for automation of manual contact tracing through QR codes, submit health declaration forms, use personal protective equipment such as face masks and face shields, and to practice social distancing at all times.

Travelers are also mandated to submit a negative RT-PCR (Real-Time Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction) test before departure. The Department of Tourism and the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines are subsidizing 50 percent of the cost of RT-PCR tests for qualified domestic tourists. To qualify, register online at http://www.tpb.gov.ph/rtpcrphtravel/, and submit a valid government-issued identification card, proof of hotel booking in a DOT-accredited accommodation, and proof of transportation ticket. The subsidy, which is open to all Filipinos and foreigners residing in the Philippines, serves as one of the recovery strategies of the DOT’s “Safe Bangon Turismo” campaign to encourage the traveling public to rediscover places that have been declared open and safe by the Inter-Agency Task Force Emerging Infectious Disease (IATF-EID) and local government units.

“This is good news, and we definitely support this move to restore passenger confidence as well as to practice safe tourism. We are hoping that the COVID-19 vaccines will be made available to the public soon. We are also positive that the travel industry will bounce back this year,” Cruz expressed, adding, “Pinas, we are #READY2GO with you!”
