Step by Step Guide on Reloading Autosweep RFIDs
Planning to go on a trip down South? If you’re passing through the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), an Autosweep RFID is a must-have for all vehicles as major expressways transition to a completely cashless transaction. Read more about how it works and where to load for those who aren’t familiar with RFIDs yet.
What’s an Autosweep RFID?
To put it simply, RFID is a sticker placed in vehicles containing digital data. This data is then captured by a reader through radio waves. In the Philippines, it is now being implemented in expressways such as in SLEX and NLEX that help in cashless payments, no-contact policies, and therefore have little to no inconvenience in traffic at all.
Autosweep RFID is mainly being used in the following thoroughfares:
- South Luzon Expressway (SLEX)
- NAIA Expressway (NAIAX)
- STAR Tollway
- Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX)
