An exceptional hotel makes a great staycation experience. My three-days-two-nights stay at Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn (hotel info) wasn’t supposed to be a staycation since we went there for a bloggers’ conference and party. But it turned out to be one – a relaxing, comforting, and outstanding staycation, I must say.

Location
One of the factors I consider in a hotel is its accessibility. And Eastin Grand (Check Rates) Hotel puts a big check to this. It is conveniently located in the Sathorn business area, right next to the expressway leading to Suvarnabhumi airport. What’s more is that it stands beside BTS Surasak station and is even connected to the same station via the sky bridge. If you don’t want to walk under the sun’s heat, then you can conveniently cross over the bridge at the third floor.

When it comes to comfort and convenience, this hotel’s rooms will not disappoint. Each room has a modern residential style and warm vibe that make guests feel welcome upon stepping inside. Our superior room came with two spacious twin beds, plush sofa, fully-stocked mini bar, LCD TV with cable, private safety box, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer, comfy bedroom slippers, and a polished work desk and chair. The space was big enough for two persons considering we also have our luggage lying around.

The bathroom doesn’t come with a bathtub, but it’s perfectly fine as there’s a separate glass-enclosed shower room. Bath toiletries and towels are also provided. The whole room was neat, fresh, and relaxing.

Facilities
The hotel doesn’t just provide well-appointed rooms. It also comes with excellent facilities. There’s an infinity pool adorned with classy lounge chairs and sofas, a cocktail area beside the pool, a fitness center complete with gym equipment, upscale restaurants located in various floors, and an executive lounge providing extra perks for guests staying in the Executive level. Internet connection is also good in the hotel’s entire premises.

One thing I look forward to during my short stay at Eastin Grand Hotel (check rates) is the breakfast. The Glass House offers a variety of dishes and culinary fare under one roof. The breakfast selection is extraordinary compared to the usual complimentary breakfast served in other hotels. There’s a fresh salad bar, congee and dimsum section, cold cuts and cheese, sushi and sashimi specials, luscious breads and pastries, Asian dishes, and of course, the main breakfast staples, such as fried rice, scrambled eggs, sausages, hash browns, and bacon.

Overall Experience
It was hard bidding our cozy room goodbye. The staycation was such a relaxing and comforting experience that I would be looking forward to. Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn (hotel discounts) managed to put a check on every detail a guest wants in a hotel – ideal location, elegant rooms, upscale facilities, tasty food, and superb service.
