Radisson Blu Cebu Hotel Review
One of the best things about being a travel blogger is being invited to incredible new travel events and services in the Philippines and the rest of the Asia. Recently, the lush Radisson Blu Hotel in Cebu opened it’s doors to much fanfare. As a special treat they invited travel writers, lifestyle writers and bloggers to come and sample just how nice the place really is. Guess who one of them was? Don’t worry, you wont find “Melo was here” note in any part of the hotel haha.
My Room @ Radisson Blu Cebu
All of us were invited to stay for a night and experience the launch of the new best of class hotel in Cebu. We were provided with individual rooms, given tours of the grounds, and of course, we got to sample the fare in the world class Feria restaurant.
Key Card
This is the first Radisson Blue Hotel in the Asia Pacific Region and while it caters primarily to business travelers, anyone looking to be pampered and to have a more than just comfortable stay will be very happy to stay here. The executive rooms were amazing- but I’ll get into all of that in a second.
Hotel Lobby
The Radisson Blu is located next to SM City in Cebu in the northern part of the island. The opening was officially announced on the 27th of September and the owners of the hotel, were very gracious in inviting Cebu’s “Who’s Who” to the celebration as a way of joining the Cebu hospitality community.
Desserts @ Feria
The hotel has 400 rooms well appointed rooms and as expected, Carlson and SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation, the joint owners of the company made sure to pull out all the stops for this event. The Carlson Group is a Minneapolis based company and is currently one of the largest privately-held corporations in the United States.
Sushi Bar @ Feria
From the gorgeous pool to the bar to the lush and fertile grounds everything here is focused on bringing the ultimate in creature comforts to the people who are visiting Cebu. The Radisson Blu hotels are known as the best of the powerful Radisson brand and this one brings the best in technology and comfort to a prime location in Cebu.
Radisson Bottled Water
Located in Cebu’s information technology hub, this hotel is already a landmark in the area. Within a short time, many think it will become the leading upscale hotel in the region, for those of us who stayed there, this is a near certainty.
Radisson Blu Hotel in Cebu
The interior of the hotel is plush with strong natural elements and a distinctly Filipino flavor to the decor and design. The architectural elements are interesting without being overbearing and the furnishings offer that great balance of comfort and beauty that is so hard to find when shopping for a relaxing place to stay. The rooms offer free wi-fi, huge flat screen televisions, beds that you will never want to get out of, and bathroom/spas which will make you want to change all of your own bathrooms at home to match them.
Presidential Suite
My room was so clean, the bed is extremely comfortable and all amenities are perfectly in place. One thing is for sure, it was great to be able to spend time in such a luxurious resort with fellow writers, bloggers, and travelers. After my two days and one night stay in the hotel, I must agree to some online reviews about the hotels pride which is its efficient and helpful staffs.. something that is truly Cebuano.
I highly recommend that the next time you are in Cebu, you take the time to visit the Radisson Blu and if you are hungry, be sure to grab a bite from their amazing restaurant, Feria.
