Due to its many islands, Greece boasts one of the longest coastlines in the world. There are beaches to suit all comers in Greece – from the packed and lively party beaches of Mykonos through to semi-deserted beaches on the smaller islands.

There are naturist beaches for those who like to strip off and bare all, and others which are all about family-centered fun.

Of course, there are plenty of places to get involved in water sports like diving, sailing, snorkeling, and windsurfing, and you can even spend your holiday afloat by chartering a boat to sail around the Greek islands – with or without a crew.

Holidays to Greece are perfect for that ‘getting away from it all’ feeling – especially if you go to the more remote islands. But you can also find peace and tranquillity on mainland Greece. Central Macedonia is often busy and crowded with tourists, but the Peloponnese region to the south is quieter, it’s an area with rural villages and beautiful beaches.

There are many important archaeological sites in this region, including the ancient cities of Sparta, Messene, and Corinth as well as the site of Olympia – original home to the Olympic Games.

One thing for Greece is sure – one visit will never be enough to see all that this amazing country has to offer!
