Exploring Camiguin From the Sky
My daughter, Luna and I stayed inside a plane’s hangar throughout our 5-day holiday in Camiguin Island.
It’s not just any hangar, but a first-class hangar with a big air-conditioned bedroom with cozy beds, a children’s creativity area and library, a media room in the mezzanine, a lounge area, and fast WIFI.
The mainstay in the hangar is a yellow American Champion Super Decathlon 8KCAB. It is the aircraft used by our host, Captain Sean Clarke in his sight-seeing and acro-adventure flights.

He also gives a tour above the famous cross at the Sunken Cemetery, as well as the stunning coral reefs around the white sandbar island and the pristine Mantigue Island, and the island’s panoramic coastline.
To add more thrill, Capt. Clarke gets to roll the plane 360° and make amazing loops during the scenic tour above the island.
A Paradise Camp for Pilots
Pilots, flight schools and flight operators can upgrade their skills and explore the island at the same time, in the Advanced Flight Maneuvers Camp headed by Capt. Sean.
Here, aviators advance their skills in controlling the plane and in making aerobatic rolls and loops in a pair of shorts and a simple t-shirt, plus they get to stay in the hangar’s first-class bedroom.
