Now that Cebu Pacific offers flights to the beautiful Island of Camiguin, reaching the Island Paradise is a lot more faster. Gone are the days when everyone needs to take hours of ferry ride to reach Camiguin. With so many seat sales almost every month, I’m sure you will be able to book your flight ticket to Camiguin pretty soon but the next question is.. Where are you going to Stay?

Together with fellow bloggers, we recently came back from Camiguin Island and we were lucky to have stayed at one of the most beautiful beach resort in Camiguin. The tropical beach resort called Bahay Bakasyunan sa Camiguin (BBC) (Check Rates and Availability) was our official residence while we were in the island.

Upon arrival at the resort, we were all impressed with the unparalleled beauty and the quaintness of the resort. The design of the lobby is one of the few remaining examples of great Filipino ingenuity. The materials used in the lobby are all locally sourced. I particularly like how they designed the ceiling of the lobby which was made from coconut husk.

Each room’s architecture is a mix of both traditional and modern designs but the materials used are still mostly wood and bamboo. I love how they reinvented “Bahay Kubo” and made it a world class sustainable structure. The rooms are really nice, clean and spacious similar to an upscale hotel room. Each guestroom is air conditioned and offers satellite/Cable TV, work desk, Jacuzzi, shower, room service, Internet facility, and mini bar. All rooms and cottages are provided with 220 volt power.

Your stay at the resort is inclusive of free airport shuttle service, on site car park, breakfast at the sea side restaurant, free use of gym, and free use of their well maintained swimming pool. If you prefer staycation, you can relax and book a massage at Cabana Spa – an in-house spa provided by Bahay Bakasyunan makes the guests fall into spiritual bliss on pampering by the gentle therapists.

Visitors can wind up the day by enjoying the romantic seascape along with a relaxing massage or you can use the swimming pool facility for free. Billiards can be played at the game room. For Foodies like me, Casual and relaxed dining with fresh Camiguin seafood and world class wines can be enjoyed at the restaurant.

To complete your vacation in Camiguin, you can book your tours in their front office. The itinerary of the tour comprises Island Tour and Island Hopping. The Island Tour includes the Katibawasan falls, Station of Cross or Old Vulcan, Hibok-Hibok hot spring, Soda Water swimming pool, Sunken Cemetery and Cross Marker and Sto. Nino cold spring.

Island Hopping includes the trip to Mantigue Island and White Island by boat. The guests can also explore the places by themselves by renting motor bikes, bicycle, and vans at the resort.
