Party Guide in Mallorca Beach
Sun, sand, good food and alcohol pretty much sum up my typical Spanish holiday. But who knew that the Mallorcans could give the mainlanders a run for their money? With sweltering summer temperatures, gorgeous beaches, high-end restaurants and most importantly, fantastic bars, Mallorca is the perfect holiday destination.

Upon my arrival at this stunning island, I decided to go in search of the perfect cocktail, and where better to sip a classic mojito than at the Puro Hotel bar? Situated in Palma, this modern and artsy hotel is undoubtedly the most cosmopolitan place on the island (they whip up a pretty good beverage too). Unfortunately, staying there was completely out of the question as my humble budget could only stretch so far, so I retreated to my beach-front hotel in Llucmajor.

There are plenty of reasonably priced three-star hotels in Mallorca, most of which are right on the beachfront. The Hotel Blue Sea Gran Playa (check rates) is a classic example of how you don’t have to pay ridiculous amounts to enjoy a perfect, seafront holiday. Located on the beach resort of Sa Coma, this family-friendly hotel is only a stone’s throw away from the beach. Happy days.

Finding a beautiful beach couldn’t be easier in Mallorca, I was spoilt for choice. I was informed by my extremely enthusiastic hotel receptionist that Canyamel beach is one of the best around. She wasn’t wrong. Surrounded by forest and pine trees, this beach is nothing short of picturesque. The sand is almost white and the water is turquoise all summer long. S’ Amarador is another great beach (elected as the best beach in Europe back in 2008 I’ll have you know) and is an unspoiled and serene location. Surrounded by more pine trees and with a stunning view of the sea, I spent all day there just chilling out and appreciating the view.

Great restaurants in Mallorca are just as easy to come by as an unspoiled beach. For authentic, Mallorcan cuisine why not head to Restaurante Es Baluard near Palma? With friendly staff and fantastic wine, this place is not to be missed.

For something even more sophisticated, Port Petit serves contemporary, Mediterranean food. Situated in the Marina of Cala d’Or, the views of the harbor serve as a beautiful backdrop whilst you enjoy their fabulous food.

Cocktails in the afternoon, gorgeous food and plenty of sand are some of my memories of this fantastic island. The islanders sure know how to host the perfect holiday.
