BBQ Boss : Experience Barbeque like a Boss

June 25, 2012 – Sooo Pinoy Food Tour Day 1 in Davao City – Previous Post : Montmartre Cafe of Grand Regal Hotel

I’m not new to Davao food scene, In fact, Ive been visiting Davao almost every year with fellow food bloggers for the Davao Food Appreciation Tour. One thing for sure, Davaoeños really have a love affair with food and one thing common in most restaurants is BBQ.

After visiting Montmartre Cafe of Grand Regal Hotel, we returned to the hotel to have a short rest since the restaurant is just walking distance from our hotel.

Our next stop? Its BBQ Boss in Lanang – a wholesome and family-oriented restaurant that is popular as a great barbeque and steak restaurant. To complete the BBQ experience, they are also serving ice chilled beer and other refreshing drinks.

While the food is being served, we were lucky to meet Mr. Radley Barrientos – the owner of the restaurant chain. According to him, the restaurant started in 2002 as a small restaurant with Pork BBQ as their initial offerings.

The restaurant is now one of the fastest growing resto in Davao serving not just BBQ since they already expanded their Menu with the addition of Steaks and Grilled fish.

One of the dishes we tasted was their Stuffed Bangus with Salted Eggs, Boss Prime Steaks, Steak Supreme with mushroom and their famous pork barbeque. What makes their Steak special? They are buying their meat only from trusted local suppliers just to make sure that the quality is consistent.

BBQ Boss already has four branches and they are in Matina Town Square, Camus Street, Damosa and E. Quirino Avenue. If I’m gonna be based in Davao, Ill definitely comeback and say BBQ Boss! at their counter. I’m now officially a fan of their BBQ but one thing that I love in their Menu is their Stuffed Bangus, I just love the mixed taste of Bangus and salted egg with lots of tomatoes…

Are you now salivating? Well, If you are in Davao, BBQ Boss is open 24 hours a day for the entire week! Too bad for me:(
