The tech specs speak for itself: 2.3 GHz Intel Atom Z3580 quad-core SoC—Asus processor, 4 GB RAM, and full HD IPS display show it can play with the bigwigs of the smartphone lineup. Its 32 GB internal storage can be expanded with a microSD – perfect for storing all the photos you’ll take with its 13-megapixel camera.
A quick look: Design
At 170g, and with dimensions of 6” x 3” x 0.4”, it’s not the lightest or smallest smartphone in the field. But its sleek finish can pass it off as aluminum (the actual material is made from high-grade plastic). A slightly curved back panel makes for comfortable handling and a safe grip.

The phone can be programmed so that touching the screen using particular shapes or touch patterns opens specific apps. Drawing a triangle, for example, will automatically launch your Facebook app for quick sharing and uploading!
It also comes with a One Hand mode, allowing users to scale down the screen to occupy a smaller space. Move around the resized screen to allow for a more comfortable browsing using just one hand.
A handy feature is its Snap View mode, which allows you to keep work accounts and applications separate from your personal files – making sure files are secured and not compromised.
Trying out the Camera
Alas, the phone function that many Pinoys have invariably abused at some point. The ZenFone 2 has a 13-megapixel back camera and a 5-megapixel camera – perfect for taking all your travel selfies.

The pictures turn out great. It’s a good camera for taking outdoor photos with ample light. Colors come out accurately, and details captured well, even in low light. Watch out for a little noise, but all in all the camera takes nice pictures even in low-light photography.

Particularly useful is its “Beautification Mode,” a feature that quickly adjusts the color and exposure of pictures taken, smoothing imperfections in the photo. Meanwhile, the “Time Rewind Mode” allows you to capture shots in 2-second intervals. Producing a total of 31 shots, this function gives users a chance to choose the photo that best captured a moment – giving you the perfect jump shot at any time!

The ZenFone 2 comes with a 5.5” full HD screen, perfect for watching videos and playing games. Its built-in PowerVR, its graphic processor and the 4GB RAM works well even with multitasking games that have high levels of graphic details.
