This marine-life theme park features thrill rides, world-class entertainments, and animal exhibits. It is the first Asian winner of the Applause Award, the most prestigious awards in the amusement and theme park industry, in 2012 for its outstanding entertainment.

We visited Ocean Park Hong Kong as part of AirAsia Manila – Hong Kong inaugural flight last May 11. We arrived in the Ocean Park at 10 am and left at 7 pm.

While taking in the panoramic scenery below, you can take pictures with your family and friends, and maybe, plan where you’d want to go next.

Explore the North and South poles in one day, meet the king penguins and experience an exhilarated bobsleigh ride. Too, you can also see here some extraordinary animals such as spotted seals, arctic foxes, snowy owls and the long-tusked Pacific walruses. You can also try some restaurants nearby like the Tuxedos Restaurant that served refreshments with a view of more than 70 penguins dancing and playing on the ice.

This is considered as the Ocean Parkís ultimate thrill ride. Be in awe of the view of the park as it spreads out below you from above. It will make you feel like climbing a 20-floor building in just five seconds and drop you in a clean, vertical free fall! Be sure that you are ready to take this ride because you might want to keep coming back!

The Crazy Galleon

Take a ride to the craziest vessel in the South China Sea! Swing your way across the ocean as you tilt at a nearly 45 degrees angle and reaching 20 meters above the ground. Do not forget to throw your arms into the air while earning your sea legs on this massive galleon!

Another mind-blowing, heart-stopping ride you might want to take is the Eagle. Watch this beautiful bird take flight as it spins up towards the sky and split apart into four individual pods in a stunning display of fiery lights. It has a shocking gyro drive speed of 22 revolutions per minute and a central rotation speed of 8 revolutions per minute. The Eagle will surely leave you breathless!

We spent almost 12 hours exploring the Marine Park but still, we were not able to visit and experience all the attractions. I’m definitely coming back to complete my experience!
