Requirements
There are different types of requirements per motorcycle owner. But these are the main things you need to bring:
- LTO copy and electronically transmitted insurance Certificate of Cover (Third Party Liability)
- Accomplished Original Motor Vehicle Inspection Report (MVIR)
- Original copy of Certificate of Emission Compliance (CEC)
- Photocopy of Certificate of Registration and Official Receipt (OR-CR)
- Taxpayer’s Identification Number (TIN)

Schedule
You should know that you can’t just walk in at the LTO because there’s a specific schedule for motor registration renewal. Note that vehicles may register one month in advance. Check your plate number to know when to renew:

Step-by-Step Process
Once you’ve prepared all the requirements needed, it’s time to renew your motorcycle registration. Here are the steps to follow!
- Step 1: Go to any LTO District Office. Bring your motorcycle with you as this will be needed for inspection.
- Step 2: Proceed to an LTO transaction counter and say you’ll renew your motorcycle registration. Get the Motor Vehicle Inspection Report form and your queue number. Note: Do not fill out your MVIR form.
- Step 3: Have your motorcycle inspected by an LTO Inspection Aide. Hand your MVIR form, which he/she will fill out. Then, they will stencil your engine and chassis number.
- Step 4: Submit the accomplished MVIR form and the general requirements at the LTO transaction counter. An LTO evaluator will check all your requirements and submit them for processing once okay.
- Step 5: Wait for your number to be called. Pay the exact fees at the cashier. Go to the releasing counter once your name is called to receive the Official Receipt (OR).
- Step 6: Present your Official Receipt (OR) and get your sticker.

- For for-hire motorcycle vehicles in NCR: at the Public Utility Vehicle Registration Center (PUVRC) and Public Utility Vehicle Registration Extension Center (PUVREC)
