End of Ramadan or Eid ul Fitr 2010 was declared Non Working Holiday in the Philippines

Good News Nomads! September 10 was officially declared as a non working holiday by the Palace.

The holiday declaration on Eid’l Fitr was signed by the President last Thursday under Proclamation No. 26.

Eid’l Fitr, an Islamic festival of renewal, reconciliation and peace that marks the the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

According to Proclamation No. 26, this would give the whole country regardless of religion a chance to be one with the Muslim community in the celebration.
