Millions of Devotees joined the recent Translacion despite of the terrorist threat. As early as Sunday (January 8, 2017), Hundreds of thousands of barefoot devotees walked towards Quirino Grandstand in preparation for the Black Nazarene Procession the next day. According to ABS-CBN, around 1.5 million devotees joined the yearly procession that lead to temporary closure of some major roads in the old commercial district of the capital, Manila.
