Bambanti Festival 2020
Manila, Philippines — If you are on the lookout for a place to go this January and would like to immerse yourself into the local community along with their vibrant culture, here is for you: Bambanti Festival, a very popular festivity in Isabela, is slated to happen this coming Jan. 27 to 31, 2020.
The festival carries the theme, “Patuloy ang Tagumpay ng Pusong Isabela” (Keep On Victory of Isabela Spirit), according to a press release.
“On January 27, 2020, Bambanti Festival will open with a Thanksgiving Mass at St. Michael Cathedral, Upi, Gamu, Isabela to be attended by the provincial officials, as well as municipal and city mayors,” reads the said press release.
Furthermore, visitors in the festival will truly enjoy a wide array of activities, including the Makan Ken Mainum Competition, Queen Isabela Coronation Night, Parade of Colors, and Street Dance Competition.
That is not all the Isabela government is putting on the table for this particular festivity. Still a part of the celebration this year is the judging of Giant Bambanti as well as Bambanti Booths.
The festival will be capped by a Grand Concert Party which will be held at Isabela Sports Complex.
About Bambanti Festival
For those who are not yet familiar with Bambanti Festival, this festivity commenced back in 1997.
In 2018, it notched the highly-acclaimed Aliw Awards Hall of Famer for Best Festival Practices and Performance.
It is good to note that this festival holds a Guinness World Record Title.
Note that DOT Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat will grace this year’s festival.
