This museum is a perfect monument to the man and his works and you will not want to miss this museum. Although the exhibits are few, you will fall in love with the structure of the museum. The district was selected in 2001 among the national important cultural structures that need to be preserved as a cultural property townscape and the preservation plans are being pushed forward by the district. This is a popular area in Japan where you can try out Oden and Akadama Honten. Eating here is one of the best things to do in Kanazawa and the soup here is Kansai-style and it is made using Kanazawa soy in making the dish. Explore Nagamachi Samurai House Area

This is situated on the west side of the city and it is close to Korinbo District and at the area, you will get to explore a stunning collection of preserved samurai houses that are found along the two canals which run through the area. There are many houses that are restored in the area which you can enter and peer around. If you want to explore this area, the best way is to head north along the canal and behind the Kohrinbo 109 Building you will then turn left at the first traffic light and then stroll down south along the next canal, there are many restaurants and cafes that you can visit on the way.

The house was built in the late 18th century and this is one of the places you should not miss when you walk between the Higashiya Chaya Area and Kanazawa Castle Park. The garden is superb out back and you will get to see some rare Tsutsui (azalea) trees. This is a nice place to visit as the crowds here are not much as few foreign tourists come here.
