In 2012, Ayala Land Hotels and Resorts introduced a new homegrown brand, Seda Hotels, which will accommodate both Filipinos and foreign tourists as they explore the busiest cities and exotic destinations of the Philippines.
10 years later, Seda celebrates its anniversary of a decade while business bounces as high and as strongly as how people feel about revenge travel and as the pandemic restrictions go at ease. The next decade is something patrons should look forward to as a new pipeline of projects will be unveiled.

Additional 500 or more rooms to Seda Hotel’s portfolio
For 10 years now, the service that exceeds expectations of Seda Hotels has yielded to a growing number of loyal guests and attracts more in its 11 properties nationwide.
In 2023, the plan is to add more rooms to its portfolio, according to Andrea Mastellone, the Senior Group Manager of the Ayala Land hotel chain.

200 more rooms will be added to Seda Nuvali, southies’ favorite staycation hotel and also a wedding destination in Laguna while 350 rooms will open at Seda Manila Bay which will cater to the casino customers.
Seda One Ayala opens in 2024
Another exciting news is that the former site of InterContinental Manila will be where the flagship Seda One Ayala will open, at the EDSA gateway to the Makati financial district.
Recognizing the Elite level guests
Because of Seda Hotels’ impeccable hospitality, there’s no wonder that the almost 100,000 members of Seda Edge’s loyalty program are all repeat customers. With this, the program will soon give the highest recognition to a third tier, Elite level guests who patronize any one or more of 11 Seda Hotels 30 room nights in a year.
Welcome Mayumi!

What might probably have most delighted anyone was meeting Seda’s new brand ambassador, Mayumi, a Philippine Eagle. This move is part of Seda’s corporate social responsibility efforts and commitment to the Philippine Eagle Foundation and helps preserve its endangered species. Like the iconic animal, Seda is uniquely Filipino and represents the country’s strengths.
On top of these exciting things happening for the brand, all 11 properties in BGC, Quezon City, Makati, Nuvali, Cebu Business Park, Cebu IT Park, Lio, Bacolod, Iloilo, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao are all committed to operating sustainably. Mastellone revealed that Seda has shifted to source electricity from suppliers that provide renewable and green energy, thus reducing its carbon footprint. Its BGC property even has an electric vehicle charging station as part of an Ayala group initiative.
