Sagada Pottery Center
A place essentially dedicated to tourism differs from a short getaway in more ways than one. Sagada and other natural tourist attractions in Mountain Province may be a little raw, with not too many amenities and minimum rush of the town but for me, it is a getaway that offers a unique package.

People planning weekend trips generally extract their time from a busy schedule and are eager to make the best out of the short visit. That is the reason they would rather make a ‘Things to do’ search than a ‘What to see’. Apart from the general sightseeing, there should be guided tourism, comfortable and affordable stays combined with a great shopping experience so that they go back home happy and contented.
One of the best pieces of craftsmanship – The Sagada Pottery
Pottery is not a popular industry in Mountain Province, in fact, there are only a few Pottery Shops in Sagada.

The Sagada Pottery not only sells finished products but also demonstrates pottery making while explaining the whole process. Each of the earthen pieces is molded with a lot of love and care, bringing out the perfect flawless shape. They are then beautifully painted and decorated, giving an antique look.

In 2011, 90 distinctly-crafted stonewares by Indigenous Sagada potters Lope Bosaing, Siegrid Bangyay, Teresita Baldo & Jesse Degay were exhibited in Cav Wine Shop-Café, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

You could buy them for some storage use or just decorative pieces, for they will lend a country touch to your living room! The Sagada Pottery is a shop dedicated to displaying and overall production.
If you have ample time, you could even try making your own pot while being guided by the resident potter. These guys also sell the pieces they make. You could find all sorts of choices of pots, vases, and beautiful ceramic cups. The products displayed in Sagada Pottery are all perfect pieces but I find them a little bit expensive.
