Skyjet Manila-San Vicente, Palawan Inaugural Flight
Gone are the days when you need to take a flight to Puerto Princesa with a 5-6 hour land travel just to reach the beautiful town of San Vicente in Palawan. With the new Skyjet flight, you can now reach San Vicente in less than an hour from Manila.
Yes, you read it right! SkyJet Airlines recently launched its newest flight route – Manila to San Vicente, Palawan. The maiden flight was inaugurated last July 16 with the help of DOT-MIMAROPA, TIEZA, and San Vicente LGU. A lot of TV personalities and press were invited to join the maiden flight.
“San Vicente is the most promising destination in the Philippines right now,” Mr. Patrick Tan, CEO of SkyJet Airlines.
“San Vicente is not your ordinary destination,” Mr. Danilo Intong, Regional Director of DOT-MIMAROPA.
And we couldn’t agree more. As part of the World’s Best Island, San Vicente is known for its 14km long beach which is the Longest White Beach in the Philippines and 2nd in Southeast Asia.
Aside from the long beach, you can also visit other beaches and islands in San Vicente like the Maxima Paradise, swim with the turtles in Turtle Sanctuary, snorkel at Twin Reef, take a photo at Luli Sand Bar and trek the Bigaho Falls.
While in San Vicente, you can stay at Club Agutaya, which is one of the only two DOT accredited hotels in San Vicente. Club Agutaya is an environment-conscious boutique resort with Filipino inspired architecture. They have 38 rooms with individual private baths (solar water heater), air conditioner, large LED TVs, coffee/tea facility, mini-refrigerator, personal safe and free WIFI. You can also enjoy their outdoor infinity pool and their own bar.
As for the food, you can dine at Café Lily in Club Agutaya, Farmbelle Park, and Turublien Long Beach Inn and Bar. Of course, don’t forget to order fresh seafood. From crabs, squids, mussels, and fish, they can serve it all for you.
