AirAsia PH and Omni Aviation to train new Cadet Pilots

Manila, Philipines — If you dream of becoming a pilot, you now have a new option to learn the skills needed to be one, as AirAsia has launched a new program called AirAsia Cadet Pilot Program.

With this new program, that was officially on launched on July 24, 2019, AirAsia has made a deal with Omni Aviation Corporation and will provide cadets with up to two years of technical training. The training program will also ensure that the cadets will meet the requirements of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines.

Omni Aviation is a premier aviation training institute in the Philippines. They offer trainings for not just pilots but also for cabin crew, airline services, and airplane maintenance. It is also the only training center in the country that is authorized by the International Airport Transportation Association.

AirAsia will be covering the training costs for their staff and subsidiaries of non-employees that becomes part of the Cadet Pilot Program, and once completed, the cadets will reimburse any other associated costs with the training.
Ten cadets will be picked for the initial batches and if they are able to complete it, they will have the opportunity to work with AirAsia.

Omni President and COO Steven G Virata is also excited with the new program. “I am proud to be partnering with AirAsia to make dreams come true. Allow me to assure all cadets that you will be trained in a holistic manner in this program, which emphasizes AirAsia’s culture of being competent pilots,” he said.

As the program was announced on July 24, details regarding how and when to apply and qualification requirements will be given out soon.
