Gastrofestival Madrid Takes Guests on a Wonderful Culinary Adventure This 2019
Madrid, Spain — The year 2019 will open to an exciting culinary adventure as Gastrofestival Madrid marks its tenth year and will be celebrated in 19 days which is three days longer than the last edition. More than 450 establishments are included in the programme under the categories Gastronomic Madrid, Gastroculture, Sensory Experiences, Gastrofashion, Solidarity Gastrofestival, Wine Culture, and Gastrohealth. There are new categories for next year like Gastrofestival Recommends which allows guests to learn about the top dishes of top restaurants in Madrid, Spain. The group behind the festival is also publishing a special book featuring 20 traditional recipes which takes the foods of Madrid and its local housewives as inspirations.

This major culinary and cultural event in Madrid is happening on January 23 to February 10, 2019. Spectators are guaranteed more time to enjoy the event prepared by Madrid City Council’s Tourism Department and Madrid Fusión. Aside from culinary displays, the 10th Gastrofestival Madrid will also showcase the connection of gastronomic culture to painting, music, film, literature, theatre, fashion and design and photography. Countless participants’ stalls from restaurants, cooking schools, markets, cocktail bars, gourmet and kitchenware shops, art galleries, museums, and fashion retailers can be visited during the event.

What’s new during the tenth edition?
The festival will feature exciting additions but one of the most anticipated is the Gastro Recommends under the Gastronomic Madrid category. This section puts into the spotlight the best of Madrid’s restaurants and under this section, people can also get acquainted with the quality and how Madrid dishes is unique to the world.
The special book for the tenth edition of Gastro Madrid will feature 20 traditional recipes which will be properly illustrated and given a brief history so that people can get familiarized with each of the dishes in the book.

The municipal markets of Madrid play important roles during the festival year after year. This year, it plays an integral part as new activities will be offered. Workshops, tasting sessions, talks and a whole lot more will be hosted by these municipal markets and guests will surely benefit from their activities.
