Exploring Paris with #LGG6
I recently flew to the City of Love to watch a spectacular display of airplanes fly above me in the largest aerospace exhibition in the world—the Paris International Air Show. Aside from the exhibition, I also went to several places and events in Paris. During the airshow, we also attended the Skytrax Airline Awards, where AirAsia was named the Best Low-Cost Airline in the World for its ninth consecutive year.
Seeing the air show and visiting Paris is one of my dreams as a traveler, and I am delighted that I was able to capture all of the beauty of the experience with just my LG G6 smartphone camera. We had to go to several places after the show, so I decided to travel light. Choosing to bring only my LG G6 was a wise idea, as I didn’t have to bring along my bulky camera (and its other lenses) with me.
The Louvre Museum, or simply the Louvre, was one of the places we went to. It’s the largest museum in the world, and the Louvre Pyramid was just amazing. Since it is purely made of glass, the sunlight reached the bottom of the underground floor.
Of course, a trip to Paris without visiting the Eiffel Tower is not even a trip at all. We reached the landmark from our hotel to Trocadero, which provided us a great view of the tower. After taking numerous photos with it as the backdrop, we sat on one of the wooden benches. I shrank next to one of the world’s most famous landmarks.
Another famous landmark we went to was the Arc de Triomphe. Seeing it up close was just awesome. As we walked along the picturesque avenue of Champs Élysées, the Arc behind us beautifully stood out from the distance.
Our visit to Paris was scheduled excellently, if I may say so. We were also able to see the Fête de la Musique, an annual music festival held every June 21. Amidst all the music, I heard a very familiar tune of an OPM (original Pinoy music) song, and, to our delight, we spotted a group of Filipino artists in a huge park called Place Igor-Stravinsky happily jamming.
My most favorite part of our visit is the Paris by Night Tour. Paris was lovely in the day but it was simply divine come nighttime. We had a Seine River cruise in a glass ship, and I understood then why Paris is also called the City of Love. Peacefully floating by the river amidst the gorgeous view of the city was indescribable. I fell in love.
Even as I preview all of the images I captured with my phone now, I still can’t forget that tingling, romantic feeling Paris gave out. I’m very happy that I was able to document my trip beautifully. My LG G6 had a very smooth and fast OS and interface, allowing me to take pictures easily.
I didn’t have any struggles with adjusting its settings during my trip too. I had the brightness set to auto, and even when I had to switch to my data and location from time to time, it’s battery lasted even when we got back to the hotel.
It’s the best partner I could ever think of as a traveler, and I’m looking forward to traveling more places with it.
