Ramirez told Inquirer.net that he already discussed the news to many individuals in the corporate world, and, yes, they assured to provide help for this important event.
Letter Of Acceptance
The PSC chief further said that a group of Filipino officials already submitted the letter of acceptance to host SEA Games 2019 to the Southeast Asian Federation. The said group is being led by Jose Cojuangco Jr., currently the president of the Philippine Olympic Committee.
Ramirez added that since it is the first time for such a big sports event to be organized in Davao City, he said he is sure that President Duterte will support the initiative to make certain that it will be a success.
For those who are not aware, Ramirez became the chief of PSC in 2005. It was during the time that the country topped the overall medal race in the SEA Games.
Awesome News
This news is viewed as a great one, especially to businesses and the citizens who are living in Mindanao, particularly in Davao City. The celebration of the said event in the place will definitely provide more opportunities to the people of Mindanao. Also, this will, of course, bring in huge effect to the country’s tourism industry as it is anticipated that the event will also feature the best places to visit not only in Mindanao but in other parts of the Philippines as well.

On top of that, it is expected that more sports facilities will be built in this particular part of the country. Inquirer.net predicts that with the said hosting opportunity for the SEA Games 2019, there is a great possibility that a national sports stadium will soon rise in Davao.
The 2019 games is said to be originally offered to Brunei Darussalam. It can be recalled that SEA Games, which involves 11 countries in the region, was already held in the Philippines three times: 1981, 1991 and 2005. The country first joined SEA Games back in 1977.
