Concert of Dreams opens the gateway to the City of Dreams Manila

City of Dreams Manila and its deserved Concert of Dreams

To make things more fitting, City of Dreams Manila opened its gateways to the public with an equally stunning concert last February 2.

Ne-Yo, a Grammy award-winning artist, spearheaded the grand opening concert, with, its star-studded performers, deserved the title of being the Concert of Dreams. R&B artist Ne-Yo sang his famous hits Let Me Love You, Closer, and Give me Everything (a collaboration with fellow artists Pitbull, Nayer, and Afrojack). During the concert Ne-Yo also promoted his new incoming album, “Non Fiction”.

Another international artist featured in the grand event was Kelly Rowland, a four-time Grammy award winner from former Destiny’s Child.

Local artists that made the Concert of Dreams as dreamy were Gary Valenciano and Zsa Zsa Padilla, who sand their famous OPM hits. Jed Madela and Kyla also performed in the concert with their iconic high notes.

The Concert of Dreams was held at the City of Dream’s Manila architecturally unique Fortune Egg stadium, and started at 5:30 PM last February 2, just after the grand opening of the City of Dreams Manila earlier on the same day.

Dream tickets were both bought and given away, with City of Dream Manila’s various promos and contests that were held before the actual date of the event.

A press conference was also held on early February 2 with the opening of City of Dreams Manila, and was hosted by Melco Crown Entertainment co-chairmen and billionaires Lawrence Ho and James Packer.
“Today it is my great pleasure to deliver on our promise to bring the highly successful City of Dreams brand experience to the Philippines. Today’s grand launch is an important milestone for Melco Crown Entertainment as we expand our presence and the City of Dreams brand in the region”, Ho said during the media presentation.”, Ho started.

“It (the grand launch of City of Dreams Manila) is a further step in realizing our overall vision of delivering diverse, world-class entertainment and lifestyle resorts in Asia, to meet the needs of leisure-seekers across the region.

“I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to the Government of the Republic of the Philippines and PAGCOR for their continuous support in helping us realize this stunning gaming, leisure and entertainment complex here at Entertainment City.
