Taking up over 35,000 sq ft of space on Siloso Beach in Sentosa, this latest hotspot boasts picturesque ocean views, tropical sensuality and Ibiza decadence. The look is Miami Beach-meets-the Mediterranean—crisp, cool whites and soft palette tones, on CDM’s colour backdrop of blue and white. One of the biggest draws is the music—Café del Mar’s label that shaped a generation and categorized “chill-out” music to the world.

The original Café del Mar in Ibiza was created in 1980 as an inspired thought to showcase the Mediterranean Sea on San Antonio beach. Designed by emblematic architect, Luis Güell, CDM Ibiza is an architectural icon of eroticism and sensuality. When the place was unveiled, it became the watering hole for DJs, artists and celebrities.

From the onset, CDM was about putting music to spectacular sunsets in Ibiza. A unique blend of new age classical and jazz fusion was the first step to CDM’s signature sound, and in time, new musical formulas were created with the Café del Mar seal. With its growing reputation as the epicenter of superb music and laid-back cool, CDM became the gig that top international DJs would vie to play. Now, after 25 years of great music and legendary sunset parties told all round the world, Café del Mar has materialized on our shores.

Lunchtime at the indoor restaurant makes for a great break from work. In the evening, wind down on the beds by the sea as you watch the sun set. The bungalow interior has Café del Mar’s signature blue and white with gold trimmings, multi-level beds, an island bar and a comfortable dance floor. At night, the pool glitters with fibre-optics and LED lights changing colours to reflect the music beats and moods.

The ultimate playground for the beach-inclined, Café del Mar serves up an extensive menu of beach cocktails (daiquiris, pina coladas and mojitos etc), and their signature sangria, perfect accompaniments for their sensuous tapas.
Some of the chef’s recommendations from the Food Menu include Linguine Pescatora, Marisco Paella and Succulent Lamb Chops, meticulously marinated with the finest herbs and spices and grilled to perfection and definitely not to be missed when you visit.
