Asia World Hospitality Awards 31 Individuals, Wishes To Boost PH Tourism And Hospitality
In a bid to develop tourism and hospitality industry in the Philippines, the American Hospitality and Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI) decided to give awards to 31 individuals. These people were awarded during three separate events held in August.
Three Ceremonies
Specifically, these individuals were awarded during these events:
August 2 event – During this day, 10 people were given official Certified Hospitality Education (CHE) pins along with international certificates. The ceremony was organized at the University of Sto. Tomas, particularly at the Albertus Magnus Building. During the event, Asia World Hospitality’s Ms. Machi Borja was present.
August 30 events – Two separate events were organized during this day. At the Belmont Hotel Manila, 15 participants of the Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP) ceremony were given pins and certificates. In the meantime, 16 practitioners were also awarded in another ceremony at the UST.
Asia World Hospitality’s CGSP Workshops
A series of CGSP workshops will be launched by the Asia World Hospitality in El Nido Resorts and in Seda Hotels.
On October 10, the organization will also attend the National Hospitality and Tourism Convention in Iloilo Convention Center. The said event will be hosted by University of Iloilo’s PHINMA Education.
Deemed as the biggest and highly-awaited assembly of hospitality and tourism stakeholders in the Philippines, this convention will be aligned with the theme: “Breaking the Norms: Unleashing Hospitality and Tourism Excellence.”

Other Events
Poised to be held this coming October is a Certified Hospitality Sales Professional event. Meanwhile, the first public workshop for Certified Guest Service Professionals will likewise be held in November. Note, though, that the venue and the specific dates are yet to be announced.
