For those who haven’t gotten the hang of using mobile banking apps yet, let us take you through the steps on transferring money from your account to GCash. More specifically, read on to learn how to transfer money using your BPI account to GCash.
Link Your BPI account to GCash.
- Log on to your app, and tap “Profile” on the bottom right of your screen.
- Choose “My Linked Accounts,” then select BPI.
- A new window will appear. Enter your BPI account’s username and password.
- Click “Accept.”
- Once you’ve successfully linked your BPI account, you can now transfer funds from your BPI account to GCash.
Cash In on GCash app using BPI
- Log on to your GCash app.
- Tap “Cash in.”
- Select “BPI” under Online Banks.
- Enter the amount you wish to transfer, then tap “Next.”
- Confirm the amount you want to transfer.
- Enter the six-digit authentication code that will be sent to your number to verify the transaction. Tap Submit.
- Once submitted, the screen will show you a confirmation message that the BPI to GCash Cash-In has been received.
- You may check your available balance on the GCash app homepage to confirm the fund transfer.
Transfer Funds from BPI Mobile app to GCash
- Log on to your BPI Mobile app.
- Tap the menu on the upper left corner of the screen, then choose “Transfers.”
- Select “Transfer Money.”
- Fill in the following details:
- The BPI account you wish to get the funds from
- The amount you wish to transfer
- Where to transfer the amount (Transfer to Another Bank)
- Transfer via QR or select a bank. Choose “GCash.”
- Your GCash Account Number (mobile number)
- Account Name
- Note (optional)
Note: There is a Php 25 transfer fee to be deducted from your account when you choose to transfer money from the BPI app to GCash.
5. Confirm your details and accept the terms and Conditions.
6. Check your GCash app to confirm the transaction once successful.

- Log on to your account via online.bpi.com.ph.
- On the menu, select “Transfer Money.”
- Fill in the following details:
- The BPI account you wish to get the funds from
- The amount you wish to transfer
- Where to transfer the amount (Transfer to Another Bank)
- Transfer via QR or select a bank. Choose “GCash.”
- Your GCash Account Number (mobile number)
- Account Name
- Note (optional)
4. Confirm the details of the transfer. Enter the OTP.
5. Check your GCash app to confirm the transaction once it is successful.
Important Notes
- You can only cash in for up to Php 50,000 daily from your BPI account to GCash.
- GCash or BPI representatives will never ask for your one-time password, authentication code, MPIN, or online passwords.
- Cash in from a linked BPI account to GCash is free of charge.
- When transferring money from your BPI app to GCash, there is a Php 25 transfer fee.
- The minimum transaction limit is Php 1 per transaction
