2nd Season of Amazing Food Challenge: Fun in the Philippines Start to Air in Asian Food Channel

Food is a basic necessity. It’s human instinct to feel hungry, to feed. This is probably there reason there are so many cooking shows the world over. And one of the many broadcasting companies that have produced cooking shows and contests is the Asian Food Channel. The company is a unit of Scripps Networks Interactive, a world-leader in producing engaging lifestyle content. Before the year ends, the Asian Food Channel will once again host another season of its renowned Amazing Food Challenge, a hit travel and culinary show, with the tagline Fun in the Philippines. The show will start airing on 27 November 2014 at 9pm and will run every Thursday until 19 February 2015 on SkyCable (Ch 22), Dream Satellite (Ch 27), Cignal (Ch 26) and Destiny Cable TV (Ch 71 analog and Ch 22 digital).

The 2nd season of the Amazing Food Challenge will have 10 new contestants traveling to the Philippines to compete for a whopping USD50,000 in cash and prizes. This popular cooking contest is produced in collaboration with the Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Tourism Promotions Board Philippines (TPB).

The contestants for the Amazing Food Challenge: Fun in the Philippines will be supervised under the program host and celebrity cook Sherson Lian, resident judge Chef Laudico as well as one guest judge from each of the five Philippine regions they will be visiting throughout the show. The 10 contenders of this cooking show will be subjected to grueling physical and culinary challenges.

So, watch out for this show as contestants outsmart, outrun and outcook one another and race through markets, mazes and rivers. Each episode will have you at the edge of your seat as one contestant gets eliminated until there are only three remaining cooks who will try to win the grand prize of USD 30,000, plus a three-day, two-night travel package to the Philippines.
