Flight Attendants, disarm all doors and Cross Check.. Flight Attendants, be seated for take-off – Two commands I mentioned a minute before take-off. Being the first blogger among the 40 participants to do the aircraft simulation activity gave me goosebumps. It seemed surreal and it was also a dream come true.

At first, I really felt that the experience was just out of touch with reality when we entered the flight deck. I volunteered to be the first to tryout the simulation and to my surprise, Its really feels like operating an actual aircraft in real time situation. From take-off to smooth landing with the help of my co-pilot, we really felt like our most recent flight to KL was realistically replicated.

That was probably the activity that I enjoyed most last weekend during the AirAsia’ Inaugural Bloggers Community Party which was held at the AirAsia Training Academy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. During the event, 40 influential travel and lifestyle bloggers were invited from various countries like the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Before the adventure race started, we had more than an hour of introducing ourselves with the flight attendants, AirAsia social media team and fellow travel and lifestyle bloggers from different parts of Asia.

More than just Happy Campers
I also met new travel blogger friends like Mae and Frank (Philippines), Bubba Mama, Jason Goh (Singapore), Love Andaman (Thailand), Mohd Redzuan, Christoper Tock, Emily Lowe (Malaysia) and many others.
Malaysian Food Nomnomnom
Bloggers were divided into 5 groups and each group has to complete a task available in different pit stops named Chiang Mai, Clark, Yangon, Siem Reap and Kuala Lumpur. Once completed, a stamp will be given and then we can proceed to the next pit stop.
AirAsia Premium Items
Within the lounge up to the vicinity of each pit stops, colored papers with ABC (AirAsia Bloggers Community) logo were hidden purposely for us to find. I was lucky to find one blue colored paper within the pillars of the main lobby and for that piece of paper, I won a complimentary ticket for two to Lombok Indonesia. Yay!

The task at the Yangon Pit Stop was quite challenging for me since Im not really a huge fan of puzzle building. We eventually sang two songs just to get our stamps so we can proceed to the next pit stop.
First Finisher.. The Black Team
We also enjoyed our visit to Clark station where we were required to creatively demonstrate the safety features of the aircraft and assist the passengers in the emergency evacuation.

Our team (Black Team) was the first to finish all the task but (Red Team) won the race for having 39 stamps – the most number of stamps gathered by a single team.
Airasia Bloggers Community Party
That was short but I really enjoyed the event. We may not have won the major price but meeting new friends and being part of AirAsia Bloggers Community is really really priceless. At the end of the programme, Aziz announced that we will be all going home with a Pearl Mini – a budget friendly mid-range Ninetology smart phone.
