Zest Air has the reputation of being one of the leading budget airlines in Philippines that offers domestic and international flights.
Zest Air Kuala Lumpur Maiden Flight
Since its a maiden flight and everything is still on a beta stage, flight was delayed since the Philippine Bureau of Immigration refused to provide manual verification of all the passengers passport at NAIA Terminal 4 (Old Domestic Airport). Surprisingly, the airport authority approved using Terminal 4 for Zest Air Kuala Lumpur Maiden Flight. It is so sad for Zest Air but this is totally beyond their control.
Zest Air Check In Counter at NAIA T4
After waiting for four hours, the Bureau of Immigration finally allowed us to check in from NAIA terminal 3 but to our surprise, our flight number was still not encoded in their system so we had to wait again in the immigration counter. I think the Bureau of Immigration should issue an official statement as to why they had to disapprove manual verification of passports and also explain their failure to provide fast alternative.
Zest Air Inaugural Flight in Malaysia
Our flight was almost four hours late but thanks to Tourism Malaysia and the Malaysian Government for the warm welcome they gave us in Kuala Lumpur International Airport earlier.
Aside from regular passengers, Zest Air Officers and Malaysian Diplomats the airline also invited travel agents, print media and travel bloggers in their maiden flight.
