Weighing over 200 tonnes, the bell inside the statue rings ones once for each of the 108 ‘troubles of mankind’. To get a closer look at the statue, you’re going to have to climb over 200 steps up into the hill, but the view from the top is well worth the effort.
Ocean Park
If you’re travelling with your family to Hong Kong, then there’s no better place to spend the day than Ocean Park. Not only is it the most visited theme park in the city, but it is also home to four giant pandas too! The park is split into two sections, the waterfront and the summit, and you’ll be able to find a number of rides, fanfares and places to eat in each. The waterfront even boasts the Grand Aquarium, home to over 5,000 fish!

Hong Kong Museum of History
If you’re looking to learn about the history of China, then the Hong Kong Museum of History is the place for you. Located in the heart of the city, this museum is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Hong Kong, and from architecture to ethnography, natural history to music, you could easily spend an entire day here visiting all the amazing exhibits. There are also free guided tours available, but be sure to get to the museum early in the morning to avoid the queues.
