St Joseph Resthouse in Sagada

Last Summer, I was able to visit Sagada for the fourth time and was able to experience staying at St Joseph Resthouse. The inn has been in operation since the 1960’s and considered as the oldest and the finest accommodation in Sagada.

Saint Joseph Resthouse is located on the beautiful town of Sagada which is located in a mountain province of Philippines. Sagada is a beautiful place and is one of the most sought summer destinations in Philippines. The place provides the visitors with a spectacular view of the tall pine trees as well as the Sagada rice terraces and the villages that surrounds the town.

The smell of the fresh pine scent is sure to refresh visitors and recharge their energy level. The aromatic smell will leave the visitors with a feeling that they have came across another world where nature and its beauty are at their best.

Visitors are also provided with the option of double bed room which can accommodate two persons and also two twin bed rooms that can also accommodate two people each at a time. A maximum of three people can be accommodated within three twin bedrooms in each of them. The least expensive among the list of rooms provided is the dorm room which can accommodate only two persons and there is no hot water available.

All rooms except the dorm rooms are comprised of bathroom with both hot as well as cold waters and showers. During off seasons which falls on the month of July to September every year, rooms will be provided for the visitors at a maximum discount of 20%. The cost of the rooms in the Resthouse ranges from P500 for Dorm rooms to a maximum of P3500 for the premium large cottages. I stayed in a small room with a common rest room which is located right in front of my room.

Visitors can enjoy both the traditional as well as continental food in the Saint Joseph Restaurant but I think their food is too expensive. The main dining room inside the restaurant has been designed in an awesome way with wooden chairs that provides visitors with a comfortable seating experience. Conference rooms are also provided for the visitors where they can enjoy lectures as well as activities that signify the culture and tradition of Sagada.
