Classic Hong Kong Favourites
Six classic Hong Kong favorites in large individual portions, including daily soup, have been reimagined for health-conscious times by Michelin restaurant-trained Director of Culinary & Operation Max Lee – incorporating premium nutritious ingredients with extensive preparation and latest sophisticated cooking techniques.
Seafood Fried Rice with XO Sauce (HK$98) is an ‘old-school’ classic with premium seafood and homemade XO sauce; and Flat Rice Noodles, Braised Spanish Pork Cartilage and Soy Egg (HK$118) is another nostalgic favorite from prized imported ingredients. Black Truffle and Egg Tofu Fried Rice (HK$118) is an east-meets-west vegetarian option, with ‘tofu scallops’ nicknamed for their resemblance to seafood, while low in calories yet rich in calcium, protein, and iron, guarding against colon cancer and heart diseases. Red Curry with Chicken and Crunchy Rice (HK$98) brings an alternative crunchy texture to traditional steamed rice, with potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits from curcumin in curry.
Sautéed Local Free-range Chicken with Sesame Oil, Rice Wine and Soy Sauce, paired with Pumpkin and Shiitake Mushroom Rice (HK$98) is a healthy elixir with free-range chicken; while vegetarian option Sautéed Salted Egg Yolk, Egg Tofu and Black Fungus, paired with Pumpkin and Shiitake Rice (HK$98) is highly nutritious and rich in vitamins and antioxidants.
Optional healthy add-ons to main course choices are headlined by classic Chinese ‘soul food’ Homemade Stewed Chicken Soup with Cordyceps Flower, Chinese Yam and Wolfberry (HK$38) and Stir-fried Broccoli or Pak Choi with Garlic (HK$58), along with selected wines and beers also available for takeaway.
Takeaway Sets for Two or Four
Takeaway sets are meanwhile priced HK$238 for two or HK$388 for four.
The 4-course set at HK$238 for two features two portions of Homemade Chicken Soup with Cordyceps Flower, Chinese Yam and Wolfberry and Stir-fried Broccoli with Garlic with a choice of two dishes from Sautéed Local Free-range Chicken & Pumpkin and Shiitake Mushroom Rice; Sautéed Salted Egg Yolk, Egg Tofu and Black Fungus & Pumpkin and Shiitake Rice; Chicken Red Curry and Crunchy Rice; or Seafood Fried Rice with XO Sauce.
The 6-course set for four is identical except twice as substantial for just an extra HK$150, with four soups, broccoli and four main dishes – one or more of Sautéed Local Free-range Chicken & Pumpkin and Shiitake Mushroom Rice; Sautéed Salted Egg Yolk, Egg Tofu and Black Fungus & Pumpkin and Shiitake Rice; Chicken Red Curry and Crunchy Rice; and Seafood Fried Rice with XO Sauce.
LEE Lo Mei is ZS Hospitality Group’s quirkiest concept paying homage to Hong Kong culinary culture, reimagining popular street food with innovative techniques for unmistakably nostalgic flavours. Named after a popular Cantonese profanity which also translates into “LEE’s Delicious Food”, the restaurant is also renowned for signature cocktails by an all-star team of mixologists
Ushering in a new interior look and feel over two levels, a total of 2,700 sq ft, LEE Lo Mei is inspired by the roaring 1960’s. Behind a signature turquoise exterior, a yellow, green and beige interior is styled with a retro vibe of dark wood furnishing, upholstered old-school booths and round bar tables.
Striking floor-to-ceiling paintings tell a love story of the founders set in 1960’s Hong Kong – from Mr and Miss Lee coyly catching eyes in Central at dusk, to their first date to a re-imagined LEE Lo Mei in Soho for a romantic meal. The artwork romance concludes with Mr Lee bidding his date farewell as she hops into a vintage red taxi.
