Busuanga Bay Lodge Review
I was part of the recent Northern Palawan Caravan organized by PHILTOA. In the second day, we visited Calauit Island, a small island that is a boat ride offshore the municipality of Busuanga.

The entire, almost 4,000-hectare land area of the island has been converted into the Calauit Safari Park, where a number of endangered animals imported from Africa were imported to preserve their species.

We saw a host of giraffes and zebras freely roaming in the natural but well-tended fauna of the area. It was a wonderful sight, and the close experience to nature was breathtakingly amazing.
Like all adventures, however, ours had to end. We took a boat ride from Calauit back to Busuanga, and when we reached there, we proceeded to our official accommodation for that night— Busuanga Bay Lodge (hotel info).
Location
Busuanga Bay Lodge is a boutique resort located perfectly on a cliff overlooking Busuanga Bay. It offers more than 80 hotel rooms, suites, or private villas to choose from. Personally, I think that this is the hotel that takes the spotlight in Busuanga. Everything is just so well laid-out—the location near the Calauit Safari Park, the seclusive atmosphere, and the sustainable design and environment-friendly policy of the resort are all just so beautifully woven together.

Rooms
During my stay, I spent the night at the Waterfront King Room with a marvelous view of the bay. The room was spacious, and the balcony was gorgeous. Some of the facilities in my room include a 42-inch flat-screen LCD TV with satellite channels, a minibar and refrigerator, and a convenient climate controller.
Toilet and Bath
Besides my king-sized bed and balcony, my favorite part of the room is the bathroom. It was huge, and a complete collection of bathrobes, toiletries, towel sets, and a hairdryer were provided.
Hotel Facilities
Highlights of Busuanga Bay Lodge (hotel reviews) facilities include a 10mx15m infinity pool, two spas, a wine cellar, and a poolside bar. One of the most famous activities in the resort is the bike rental. The entire property is popular for biking, and if I were given a chance to stay here longer, I would definitely give it a try for myself.
Dining
Below are the dining options in Busuanga Bay Lodge:
Pavilion, an all-day dining restaurant with a wide selection of international and local cuisines. Breakfast starts at 6 AM to 10 AM, lunch is at 11 AM to 4 PM, and dinner is from 6 PM to 9:30 PM. We had our breakfast here.

Seahorse Bar & Grill, which offers a variety of grilled delicacies like tender steak, tapas, and seafood. It opens at 3 PM and closes at 10 PM. Chance upon the happy hour promo on Tuesdays and Fridays, because they give away free drinks, and discounts on some others, as well
South Cay Beach Club, which offers all the kinds of drinks you can imagine. Beer, rum, tequila, cognac, and even tea and coffee are available. This is located 45 minutes from the resort
WiFi
The rooms at Busuanga Bay Lodge come with a complimentary access to the Internet, but during our stay, we could only access the WiFi at the lobby.

Overall Review
Everything about my stay here was perfect, and honestly, I would stay longer if I could. My room not having a connection to the WiFi is a minor setback, but it is not enough for me to say no to this seaside haven. That could be improved, but in overall, the rooms are great, the view out my balcony was amazing, and the food was just perfect. If you are a nature lover and if you really want to unwind, I also suggest going to the nearby Calauit Safari Park before booking your room here, just to get a real immersive feel of the environment.
