For this year, the theme of the travel expo is “More > Real.”

The PTAA TravelTour Expo 2020 – deemed the largest annual gathering on travel and tours in the country – will house 1,000 booths and over 400 exhibitors that come from the travel agency and tourism enterprise industry. Visitors to the said expo will get to enjoy up to 70 percent discounts on airline fares, hotels, cruise lines, and theme parks.

PTAA President Ritchie Tuaño said that the year 2020 is the best as it has a lot of long weekends.

“This is the best year to travel, given the long weekends published,” Tuaño said. “International travel has also become affordable, thus we expect not only millennials but also professionals to be active tourists.”

Tuaño further said that the PTAA targets Filipinos who wish to travel with their families.

“We want to encourage more Filipinos to travel as a family. After all, traveling is one of the best ways for a family to bond and rediscover each other,” said Tuaño.

Tuaño added that perhaps, traveling with your family members is a good way to get to see their fun side.

Note that those who wish to visit the travel expo should fork out a general admission fee of Php 70 (that includes students and children) and Php 50 if they are senior citizens.

In the said event, the secretary of the Department of Tourism (DOT), Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, is going to deliver the keynote address.

This year, the PTAA is expecting more visitors as opposed to the numbers last year. It can be recalled that over 100,000 travelers visited the travel expo last year. Further, there were 394 companies that participated in 2019. They occupied the 1,035 booths.
