Estrellas de Mendoza Playa Resort Review

After our Sariaya Culinary and Heritage Tour, we headed to San Juan Batangas for an overnight stay at Estrellas de Mendoza Playa Resort.

Before proceeding to Estrellas de Mendoza Playa Resort, we visited two other resorts in Laiya for a quick inspection. What I like about traveling with tour operators is having the opportunity to inspect the facilities and amenities of various hotels and resorts that I haven’t stayed at yet.

Being a travel blogger, I normally receive emails and other forms of inquiries asking for recommendations on where to stay on a specific destination. I might know some resorts in the area but its hard to recommend especially if I haven’t stayed or even seen the resort yet but thanks to PHILTOA for always inviting me on their FAM TOURS, it gives me an idea how the hotel amenities and facilities look like. Each hotel and resort visit will definitely help me in my future recommendations.

Our first stop was at Laiya Coco Grove Resort. We first visited their facilities in the White Beach area which is located on the west side of the main resort. This area is ideal for swimming since it has longer shoreline the water is also clearer. Their white beach area is ideal for camping, team building or even for special events like a beach wedding.

Some of the rooms available at Laiya Coco Grove Resort are Deluxe Poolside Cottage, Standard Poolside Cottages, Bahay Kubo Dormitory, and 10 Tree Houses. For couples and honeymooners, I highly recommend the Tree House Cottage. These type of cottages has a veranda overlooking the beach and it’s also the best place to watch the setting sun.

Its already dark when we reached Estrellas de Mendoza Playa Resort and after securing our things in our respective rooms, we gathered at the beachfront restaurant for dinner. I enjoyed the wide selection of grilled food they have and since its freshly grilled in front of the restaurant, you can pick anything and have it grilled your way.

Although the beach in front of the resort is not as nice as the one in White Beach area, the resort has state-of-the-art 800 sq. m. an infinity swimming pool that guests can enjoy until 10pm.

After Dinner, we enjoyed an hour of soothing massage courtesy of PHILTOA and DOT then we gathered again at the poolside restaurant for our first videoke night. After a few bottle of beers and a couple of songs, we finally call it a night.

The next morning, we had our breakfast at the resort then we proceeded to Aquatico Resort for Business to Business Mini Travel Exchange. Since this activity was really intended for Travel Agents and Resort Owners, I spent my morning taking photos while walking around the beautiful resort property.

Before leaving the resort, we had a wonderful sumptuous buffet lunch at Oceano – Aquatico Resort’s in-house restaurant. The food choice was really good and the dessert choices are to die for. I really can’t wait to go back and experience staying at Aquatico Resort. Maybe next month?
