Sarrosa International Hotel and Residential Suites Review
Looking for a premier business hotel at the Queen City of the South? Look no further. The King of Sinulog is off for an overnight stay at Sarrosa International Hotel and Residential Suites (hotel info). Located along Mabolo Street in Cebu City, this regal hotel caters to business and leisure travelers alike. One of Cebu’s finest business hotels, Sarrosa offers an idyllic blend of comfort and convenience right at the heart of the growing metropolis.

The hotel boasts of its 181 well-appointed, spacious and cozy hotel rooms and a 48 fully furnished residential units; a modern business center for executives and businessmen, an indoor swimming pool, a fine-dining restaurant and function rooms for all special occasions and events. Read on as we share our first-hand experience during the most wonderful time of the year, Christmas Day.

Arriving at the hotel past lunchtime, we navigated to the gated parking lot at the back of the hotel. Entering the lobby, we were immediately greeted by the staff with their warm smiles. Checking in was quick and easy despite asking for a spare keycard, extra WIFI passwords, and the inclusions of our stay as I was staying with my family. Filling up the necessary forms and contact details, we were then on our way to our room.

Riding the elevator to the fifth floor and passing through the hallways, you’ll clearly feel the elegant vibe through the intricate details of the hotel like the marble walls exiting the elevator and beige carpeted floors. Upon entering room 521, we were greeted by a divine scent of lavender. First thing we saw upon entering was the blue-carpeted living room with a comfortable 3-set sofa, a TV and a mini refrigerator.

Walking a few more steps, we were surprised to see the extra king-sized bed in its entire Victorian splendor with lamps that add to the inviting charm of the room. That was the time I understood why it was called the Sarrosa Suite, with its sophisticated interiors and blood red accents, you’ll surely feel like royalty.

And did I forget to mention the space? Fifty six square meters with a published rate of PHP 7,000 that comes with breakfast inclusive for one or two persons. Extra persons are charged PHP 999.00 net per person per night with buffet breakfast.

Checking the bathroom, you’ll see an ample-sized marble bathtub with jacuzzi right beside the shower door and you bet I was already planning on a hot bubble bath. Checking the water pressure of the shower head, a hotel experience won’t be complete without a long hot shower.

For me, that’s the best time to contemplate, listen to your own thoughts and come up with million dollar ideas. Laughs.

By this time, my parents are already relaxed on the bed watching the National Geographic Channel on the flat screen TV while my sister is excited to start reading the first chapter of a new book I gave her for Christmas. Walking back to the living room, we opened the curtains to revel in the view of Mabolo.

The time on the clock says 4:30PM, and we prepare for Christmas Mass at Mabolo Church just five minutes away from the hotel. This is another advantage staying at Sarrosa as it is very accessible to dining and lifestyle destinations like The Ridges in Panagda-it, Ayala Center and SM City Cebu as well. After the mass we decided to eat at Mesa Grill in SM and then headed back to the hotel to take a family portrait by the Christmas tree. We also plan to catch the full moon and the city lights from the hotel’s roofdeck and just fall in love with the view of the skyscrapers.

Waking up the next day, we availed of their complimentary breakfast buffet. Their restaurant is also as elegant as with other areas of the hotel and is known to serve appetizing Filipino and International cuisine. From cereals, salad bars, breads and pastries, soup and omelet sections, to Pinoy tsokolate, tea, coffee and juice sections up to their Filipino breakfast favorites such as tocino and longganiza hamonada, the easy on the pocket breakfast will truly satisfy not only in-house guests but also walk-In customers as well at PHP 295 per person.

After the satisfying meal, I arranged for a guided tour of the hotel and then headed back to our room afterwards and just decided to be lazy all day. Thankfully, we were informed that we could have a late check-out at 5pm, an added Christmas treat since we were planning on trying out the newly-opened Buffet 101 at City Times Square for dinner. Not only that, when we entered our suite, a parting gift was already waiting for us on the living room table. The Sarrosa Team surely knows how to make us smile.

Overall, the King of Sinulog’s Christmas day experience at the hotel was truly unforgettable and filled with fun surprises. We can’t help but be grateful of our holiday vacation and a chance to bond and spend quality time together as a family. A special thank you goes to Miss Janice Magsumbol and to the entire Sarrosa International Hotel and Residential Suites Team for having us.
