When I was invited to cover the Lima Park Hotel 2016 Philippine Hobie National Championships in Talisay, Batangas, I have to confess I was actually more excited about getting to experience that overnight stay in Lima Park Hotel (hotel info) more than covering the sports event haha.
So, allow me to share with you my detailed review of the hotel I had an opportunity to be in — Lima Park Hotel.
We left Makati early in the morning and headed to Taal Lake Yacht Club to witness the first leg of the competition. We then had lunch, after which we took a relaxing cruise around the famous Taal Lake. After our Taal Lake cruise, we proceeded to Lima Park Hotel in Malvar, Batangas to check in and rest.
We were supposed to go back to Taal Yacht Club to cover the Hobie race, but then, everyone unanimously agreed to stay in the hotel and just enjoy the wonderful accommodation provided to us.
Here’s a trivia. The word Lima , taken from the hotel’s name, comes from the combination of the localities of Lipa and Malvar in Batangas, since the hotel is located on the boundary of the two towns.
The hotel is situated inside Lima Technology Center, an industrial zone in Malvar, Batangas. This 4-star hotel originally caters mostly to expats and business travelers, but now, it has been everyone’s go-to place. Besides serving as a good location for corporate meetings, events, gatherings, and conferences, the hotel is fast becoming a popular destination for families and groups of friends who want a relaxing staycation in Batangas.
I stayed in a deluxe room located just a few steps away from the pool area and their specialty restaurant called Asian Flavours. The room has a Queen size double beds with luxurious bed sheets and down pillows. The landscaped garden just outside my room is so refreshing. My Lima hotel room is equipped with magnetic door locks which can be deactivated easily just in case I lose my keycard. I like hotels which make use of magnetic keycards since these are easy to carry, unlike old conventional keys.
Each room has a complimentary wireless internet access, an executive desk, a cable-supported 32? LCD TV, a mini bar, and coffee and tea facilities. The hotel also offers daily supplies of bottled water and toiletries. Each room comes with a spacious rest room with a bath tub and a hot and cold rain shower.
Wheelchair-accessible rooms are also available in the hotel. These rooms have a wider hall space, handicap-friendly railings inside the bathroom, and a lowered bed to bring convenience to the guest.
Their main restaurant, Asian Flavours, offers various local, Asian, and other international cuisines.
For breakfast, we were able to try their special tapang Batangas with atsara which was, of course, paired best with a hot cup of kapeng barako. Yum!
During one of our in-between meals, we had Hawaiian pizza, tokwa’t baboy, and Thai spring rolls. You know what? All of them were superb! Really satisfied my appetite!
For lunch, we enjoyed their own version of pinakbet. Not meant for vegetarians, their pinakbet was deliciously topped with bagnet and crushed chicharon. We also tried their fried bangus and their true blue bulalong Batangas.
Lima Park Hotel (customer reviews) has a lot of facilities read for your usage so that you will be able to enrich your stay. The hotel provides free Wi-Fi in all rooms, a 24-hour front desk, a gym, a children’s playground, an outdoor swimming pool, and facilities for PWD guests, express check-in/check-out counters, and luggage storage to ensure that we experience the greatest comfort. For those who want to roam around the area, you may borrow one of the three types of bicycle they lend to their guests.
How to get there
Lima Park Hotel is just an hour’s drive from Magallanes in Makati. The hotel is accessible through the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and the Southern Tagalog Arterial Road (STAR) Tollway.
Overall Service: Lima Park Hotel Review
As a full time blogger and social media manager, the first thing I check after getting inside my room is the internet connection — if it’s stable or not. At first, I was disappointed by the slow internet speed but after reporting it to the front desk, they immediately checked the routers and fixed everything in a snap. Apart from Lima Hotel’s superb customer service and must-try restaurant, I was also very pleased by the cleanliness of the room and the commendable maintenance that they perform in order to keep the hotel’s 4-star rating. I really had an amazing stay in Lima Hotel! It is definitely the best business hotel in Batangas!
P.S. Most of the food listed in their menu looks very promising. I already tried some of them but I will definitely go back to try the rest! Hope to see you guys there!
